Lake Cowichan
Come explore one of B.C’s hidden gems.
Explore
Cowichan Lake is one of the largest bodies of fresh water on Vancouver Island, BC. The Cowichan Lake region includes the villages of Youbou, Caycuse, Honeymoon Bay, Mesachie Lake, and The Town of Lake Cowichan. Other activities awaiting you are kayaking, horseback riding, and fishing.
Relax
Feel the peacefulness surround you as you sit on your private deck. Or enjoy river-tubing in the warmer Summer months; start up at the lake and enjoy an hour floating down the river directly to your front door at the cottage. Inside you’ll find cozy living areas, and all the amenities and appliances to make your stay enjoyable and convenient.
Shop
Lake Cowichan has all of the amenities that a small town could possibly provide. There are boutique shops, restaurants, grocery stores, a marina and more. Take a leisurely stroll into the town itself for lunch and shopping, it’s just down the road, within walking distance.
Getting around
The cottage is approximately a 50 minute drive from the Duke Point ferry terminal and an hour from the Nanaimo city centre. Public transportation is limited and a private vehicle is the best method of getting to the cottage. Once at the cottage, Lake Cowichan town centre is a short 10 minute walk away.
“The Cowichan River Cottage was absolutely perfect for this part of our vacation -- supremely relaxing and comfortable. And the back deck was awesome. We had a blast! Would love to come back again sometime and stay longer.” —Brian (5-Star Guest Review, May 2018)
